Privacy and what leaves your machine
What stays on your computer, and the little that doesn't.
What stays.
- Your code and your agents' work Repos, diffs, transcripts and logs stay on your computer, under
~/.overhandand your own folders. - Your keys In your keychain, or the file you opted in to. Where things run.
What leaves, and where to.
- To your model What your agents send to the model provider you chose, just as they do without Overhand. A local model's prompts stay on your computer.
- To GitHub and your tools Through your own sign-ins:
ghfor pull requests and issues, and any tracker, error service or notification you connect, such as ntfy or a status update's webhook. - A release check Once a day Overhand asks GitHub whether a newer release is out.
- On Pro and Team Your sign-in, your computer's link and your plan go to the relay at app.overhand.dev; on Team, the team's metadata too. What the relay does and doesn't see.
